Week 2 of the NFL Preseason Schedule Kicks Off Thursday
(PRWEB) August 14, 2013 -- The first full week of exhibition action is in the books and Week 2 of the NFL preseason schedule begins on Thursday, August 15th. As the start of the regular season draws nearer, PrintableBrackets.net is offering fans everything they need to be ready for September 5th.
“The games may not have counted in the standings, but it was nice to see all the teams get back to football last week,” said PrintableBrackets.net spokesperson Zaniel Worth. “Some of the league’s perennial powers looked in midseason form, while some teams in transition may need to erase the drawing board.”
In Week 1, the Baltimore Ravens opened defense of their Super Bowl title with a 44-16 thumping of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In Philadelphia, the New England Patriots knocked off the Eagles, 31-22, in their first game since the arrest of tight end Aaron Hernandez. Meanwhile, Mark Sanchez was interception in his first series of the year as the New York Jets suffered a 26-17 road loss to the Detroit Lions.
Week 2 of the preseason opens with four games on Thursday night. On Sunday, the New York Giants will host the Indianapolis Colts in the only game on the schedule. Week 2 wraps up with the Washington Redskins hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers on “Monday Night Football.”
