Eric Hill Sets Out on a Travel Trifecta, Beginning and Ending in Salt Lake City
Salt Lake City, Utah (PRWEB) August 15, 2013 -- Eric Hill set out this week for the next three countries on his quest to visit all United Nations recognized countries. Hill, the increasingly famous world-traveler who established gowitheric.com and The Global Odyssey project, is determined to beat the Guinness Book of World Records record for visiting all recognized countries of the world in the shortest timespan. To set the new record, Hill has just a little over three years to travel the world.
And he’s well on his way. The leg of the journey that began this week marks 6 months since the world record attempt began in North Korea this last February. This will also be Hill’s first truly around-the-world trip as he plans to travel east from Salt Lake City to Russia, Mongolia and Taiwan, then back to Salt lake City from the west to complete the leg.
While on his trip, Hill participates in a number of activities, all of which are documented on the Facebook, and other social media pages for The Global Odyssey. For the coming leg Hill has brought his youngest brother along for the journey. They plan spend a day in Moscow then take the Trans-Siberian Railroad all the way to Mongolia then fly to Taiwan. Along the way they plan on stopping at some local Russian friends’ houses, exploring the mountains around lake Baikal, then ending up with a nomadic family of yak herders in Mongolia before meeting some friends in rural Taiwan.
