For the third annual Music City Guitar Tour, along with music powerhouses like Ricky Skaggs and Kings of Leon, Tim Leeper, owner and operator of Tim Leeper Roofing, has gotten the help of reality TV’s newest sensation.
This year, some familiar characters from Duck Dynasty have signed a guitar to be awarded at the 2013 charity event. "We've got a lot of the signatures from the cast, mainly the family,” says Leeper, “We've got Phil, Si, Kay, Jase, and I've still got to get Willie, but he's coming to town in the next couple weeks, so I’ll be getting with him then to get that one wrapped up”
The Music City Guitar Tour works like this: Tim meets with musicians and other celebrities and they autograph guitars, members of the Nashville community nominate and vote for their favorite charity, votes are tallied, and the top 10 winners get to choose an autographed guitar to sell or auction off.
“This is a cool one, definitely different,” Leeper continues, “[the Duck Dynasty cast] are not music people, but we're looking for celebrities to help our cause. Their new TV season begins pretty soon, and the new show will definitely create some buzz for The Music City Guitar Tour."
But this is not the only thing different about the 2013 Music City Guitar Tour. This year, the top three charities with the most votes will receive a cash award along with a special “trophy guitar.”
The nomination process for charities is open now and will remain open through September the 15th when the voting begins at musiccityguitartour.com. According to Leeper, “If somebody wants to nominate a charity after the 15th of September, they still can. They'd just be a little bit behind the other groups.”
Locally owned and operated, Tim Leeper Roofing has served the Nashville area’s roofing needs for nearly 10 years. Along with his dedication to providing quality roofing services, Tim Leeper actively supports the Nashville non-profit community.
The Third Annual Music City Guitar Tour is right around the corner, so email Tim now to nominate your favorite charity, and get out there and vote!
