Follr Releases Universal Content Sharing Feature
Wappingers Falls, NY (PRWEB) August 19, 2013 -- Follr, Inc. (http://www.follr.com) today announced it has released the first iteration of a universal content sharing feature. Follr users can now update their status and share content to the Follr network and additionally to their LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook accounts with one click. Other networks are being added.
The feature uses a proprietary Follr window and creates an open standard for content sharing and collaboration. In unifying an individuals communication across multiple online social networks Follr now simplifies multi-directional content sharing while simultaneously providing independence on where content is posted. It is accessible to all Follr users, free and Pro.
“Our position has always been to make the Follr platform social network agnostic and this feature is another step towards making that a reality,” stated Follr CEO Stephen Fells (http://www.StephenFells.com), adding “While we advocate the benefits of most of the leading social networks, each one is a social silo and therefore represents only a partial window into someones story. The feature and others to be announced over the next few months address this functional gap.”
Follr provides Web-based Digital Identity Websites and networking tools to individuals and businesses via the Follr business network. A Digital Identity Website allows any person, company or brand to tell their story using a combination of personal or corporate history, social media profiles (Facebook, LinkedIn, Foursquare etc.) and content. It is a personally branded Website used as an initial point of contact and represents an aggregation of all online and offline information. Accessed by an enduring, easy to remember URL it represents a more complete picture and story in an increasingly digital world and helps protect and promote brand.
“We continue to build a platform that is centered on the individual and not the network and this feature emphasizes that focus,” stated Follr Founder and Product Lead Mark Wayman (http://www.MarkWayman.com). He added “Our users now have a simplified way to update multiple social networks which not only saves them time but also increases the value of being apart of our network.”
The company, funded through Blossom Ventures, will be announcing several other feature enhancements and business development deals in the third quarter.
