Winning $5,000 is Like Music to Their Ears
Concord, NH (PRWEB) August 14, 2013 -- $5,000 goes a long way when you use it to travel the country and play music. The Spartans Junior Drum and Bugle Corps was declared the winner of $5,000 from the Grappone Cares July contest. They were announced as the winner during a Google+ Live Broadcast.
The Spartans are located in Nashua, NH and give young musicians a chance to practice their talent throughout the summer while schools are closed. They travel across the country performing and have won the world championships five times.
Grappone will visit the Spartans at their office in Nashua on August 21 to present them with their $5,000 check and have a chance to meet the young musicians that represent New Hampshire while on tour.
The Spartans share their pride of New Hampshire in every state they perform. The $5,000 will help them travel more often and continue giving young musicians a place to practice and play. Each mile they travel costs them $12.
There were 63 New Hampshire non-profits that entered the third round of Grappone Cares. Throughout the voting period there was a video bonus round. This round allowed the charities to create a video about their mission and receive extra votes for it. Not only did these videos give the charities extra votes they also provided another way to get their message out in a creative and fun way.
Grappone Automotive Group and the Toyota Match Program team up to make this contest possible. Grappone takes this opportunity to help broadcast and share all of the great charities in the community.
There will be one more round of Grappone Cares. The nomination period for this round will begin mid-September. Every charity must be re-entered into this round. The contest is held on Grappone Automotive Group’s Facebook page. Charities that are nominated must be 501(c)(3), and any charity that has won previously is not eligible to enter.
