Parascript Named Canon Image Capture Solutions Alliance Program Member

As a result of the alliance, value-added resellers (VARs) offering imageFORMULA document scanners by Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging, will have access to Parascript’s intelligent document recognition (IDR) software, FormXtra Capture, to help business customers to read and extract information from a wide variety of document types.
These VARs will be able to pair Parascript technology with any imageFORMULA scanner device from Canon that uses the ISIS protocol. Parascript’s FormXtra Capture complements Canon’s imageFORMULA line of high-volume, production-level scanners, and its web services capability helps enable Canon imageFORMULA desktop office scanners to capture and perform document recognition from distributed environments.
With Parascript software, these VARs will be able to give business customers greater access to all types of information scanned on Canon’s high quality imageFORMULA devices. FormXtra Capture’s complete document recognition solution automatically classifies document types and can process structured, as well as semi-structured images using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR). It provides an easy-to-navigate graphical user interface and includes access to a .NET API for greater customization and integration in forms processing definitions, routines and output. It includes administration, workflows and data validation tools to manage the process.
Parascript also offers flexible pay-as-you-go subscription based pricing (for VARs and their customers wishing to lease the software alongside Canon imageFORMULA hardware). The technology is backed by education, access to marketing tools and sales support from Parascript.
