Maks & Mila Set to Debut on History Channel and ION Network Across the United States
Washington, DC (PRWEB) August 16, 2013 -- Mila Publishing, based in Geneva Switzerland, announced today the first television debut of “Maks & Mila On a Special Journey” across the United States. The television segments will air on Thursday, August 15, 2013 on History Channel at 6:00am EST, Wednesday, August 22, 2013 on ION Television at 6:00am EST. Both broadcasts will be in over 200 different markets across the US.
In making the announcement, author Merel Bakker said, "I am so excited Maks & Mila will reach millions and millions of people across the United States. I have written this book and designed the SECRET SUITCASE app to bring joy to people's lives, and these TV segments will do just that."
In the first book of the series, Maks & Mila On a Special Journey, we see these two loveable characters embark with their SECRET SUITCASE. It is written in a specially designed award-winning font that is easier to read for children with dyslexia. Combined with beautiful illustrations, the book, which uses the power of reflection and repetition, helps children to develop joy and self-confidence in their lives. Through uplifting narrative and positive reinforcement, the story lines of Maks & Mila are written in a way to help educate children between ages 4 to 8 in ongoing child development.
The Maks & Mila book series comes with its very own iPhone/iPad SECRET SUITCASE app. This free app, which perfectly adds to the storyline, empowers children to be creative and provides a unique platform for child development. Like the book, the free APP also features the award-winning font that makes it accessible for children with dyslexia.
