Eat, Drink and be Merry in August with VirtualTahoe.com’s Top Foodie Lake Tahoe Events
Lake Tahoe, CA (PRWEB) August 16, 2013 -- Nobody can complain with mouths full (it’s too messy), so why not eat away at one of the amazing August events in Lake Tahoe that are making stomachs everywhere rumble! VirtualTahoe.com suggests checking out Boil ‘n Fry Day (crawfish boil!), the 24th Annual Foam Fest, or joining the fun at the Market on the Run!
Bibs not Included
Watch out Lake Tahoe, this might get messy. The first annual Boil ‘n Fry crawfish boil is coming to the lake! With fresh crawfish caught from the lake, hot wing cook outs, a full concert, craft beer for only $2, and a Miss Crawfish pageant, this is one food festival that is sure to knock the socks off.
Taking place Saturday, August 24th at the Montebleu Casino Festival grounds, attendees will feel like they are in the bayous with this Southern-style treat. Live music from the Americans, Arden Park Roots, the Infamous Swanks, Weapon, and the Parmesans will keep crawfish enthusiasts dancing away those full tummies.
The festival costs $15 for fully grown crawdads, $8 for maturing crustaceans (7-12 years) and is free for hatchlings (6 and under). The event runs from 1 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.
Satisfy Hunger with Beer
Beer, it’s what’s for dinner. Or it can be at this year’s Foam Fest. For 24 years now, Disabled Sports USA Far West has been filling up tummies with that wonderful liquid we all love. Foam Fest is happening August 31st, from 2 - 6 p.m., so make sure to mark the calendar for this thirst quenching event.
Foam Fest costs $20 on the day of the event, and $25 at the door (free for non-samplers). Tickets are for unlimited (yes, take a deep breath) beer sampling of tasty suds from over 40 breweries! Taste buds rejoice!
Family Foodies
With only a few more weeks left, don’t forget to bring the family to the “Market on the Run” farmers market. Happening every Friday (next one is August 16th), until September 6th. Visitors don’t have to be organic food maniacs to enjoy the delicious treats at this family friendly event. Kids can get their faces painted, the whole gang can dance to live music, and enjoy delectable delights such as baked goods, fresh salsa, and tasty organic lemonade!
Market on the Run takes place in South Lake Tahoe on Ski Run Blvd, from 3 p.m. - 8 p.m. every Friday!
