ICON LASIK, the official LASIK provider for the USA Pro Challenge invites cycling fans to meet Tom Danielson after Stage 7 in Denver on August 25th, 2013. Tom will sign autographs after his media commitments at the ICON LASIK tent in the festival area. Tom Danielson has enjoyed excellent vision since his ICL surgery. Tom’s performances include winning the 2013 Tour of Utah, a top 10 in the Tour de France, and podiums at the biggest races in the U.S.

Prior to Tom’s vision correction Tom was forced to wear contact lenses to correct his -4.75 prescription. Tom also suffered from very dry eyes which are common with Colorado’s altitude and low humidity. Like a small percentage of the population, Tom was not a good LASIK candidate. However, with the latest advances in vision correction the independent surgeons at ICON LASIK recommended a technology to correct Tom’s vision, ICLs. ICL stands for Implantable Collamer Lens which you can think of as an implanted contact lens. The lens is considered semi-permanent because it can be removed if needed. ICLs can provide excellent clarity and improved depth perception while correcting ones vision to the desired power which is often better than 20/20. Tommy D as he is known to cycling fans; lives and rides out of Boulder, Colorado for the Garmin-Sharp cycling team. Tom states that “selecting ICON LASIK was one of the best decisions I’ve made.” Tom has referred more professional cyclist to Icon; including Lucas Euser who finished a very strong 4th place at the Tour of Utah!
