We love Elle and are very honored that they included The Upper Hand on their Top 100 Salons in America list, for the fourth consecutive year. We are so thankful for our amazing Artistic Team and our wonderful clients.

Elle magazine, founded in France in 1945, focuses on women’s news and trends in the health, fashion and beauty industries. In the 1960’s, Elle was so prevalent in the day’s fashion culture that it was often said to, “not so much reflect fashion as decree it.” Today, Elle reigns as the world’s largest fashion magazine with a monthly circulation of over 1.1 million and 21 million global readers. The Elle brand also consists of a global technological network that spans 33 websites and engages over 25 million unique monthly visitors. Elle’s status as an icon in the fashion and beauty industry has made it’s annual list of the Top 100 Hair Salons in America, one of the biggest, and most prestigious, honors available to American salons.
Elle’s 2013 list of the Top 100 Salons in America appeared in their August issue with Amanda Seyfried on the issue. In Julie Schott’s article titled “The Best Hair in America 2013,” the author details the country’s most wanted celebrity styles and places to get them. Topping Elle’s list of most coveted styles are Anne Hathaway’s pixie and Julianne Hough’s modern bob. Under the heading, ”Style of the Union,” Elle lists the Top 100 Salons in America by state. For the fourth consecutive year, Elle named The Upper Hand as one of the top salons in America. The Upper Hand was the only Houston hair salon that was included on the list.
“We love Elle and are very honored that they included The Upper Hand on their Top 100 Salons in America list, for the fourth consecutive year. We are so thankful for our amazing Artistic Team and our wonderful clients for making all of this possible and giving us the opportunity to work in an industry we love,” said Rachel Gower, President of The Upper Hand LLC.
