Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) August 14, 2013
US Cellular will introduce their shared data plans soon according to FierceWireless.com, by Phil Goldstein on Aug 14.
Wireless analyst Jeff Kagan offers comment.
“Shared data plans are still new, but they are hot. They look very successful for both AT&T and Verizon who started this new service plan last summer. That’s why I expected to see them spread to other carriers,” says Principal analyst Jeff Kagan.
“It looks like US Cellular will be the next carrier to offer these shared data plans. I hear they will look similar to both AT&T and Verizon’s plan. However, since AT&T and Verizon’s plans are not identical I imagine there will be some differences with US Cellular as well,” says Industry analyst Jeff Kagan.
“US Cellular has had a rough few years, however now they have a new CEO Kenneth Meyers and he seems to me making some very different and potentially good moves. So we’ll have to watch this and see if they do improve, but I like what I see from them recently,” says Kagan.
“Customers have proven that they like the shared data plans and they love the iPhone and those are two new items that US Cellular will introduce shortly. Giving customers what they want could be the start of an upturn for the US Cellular. Stay tuned,” says Kagan.
