Cumulus Data and Nextpoint Offer All-Inclusive E-Discovery Platform for a Flat Fee
CHICAGO (PRWEB) August 14, 2013 -- Cumulus Data, Inc., the creators of eCloudCollect™, today announced that they have entered into a strategic partnership with cloud computing leader Nextpoint, developer of Cloud Preservation™, Discovery Cloud™ and Trial Cloud™, to provide an integrated end-to-end electronic discovery solution. The service will allow corporations, law firms and legal service providers to perform e-discovery from collection to production in the cloud for a flat low-cost fee.
eCloudCollect and Nextpoint’s Cloud Preservation will be at the front end of this cloud-based platform for ESI collection of webmail, social media, websites and data stored on remote desktops and networks. Completing the e-discovery lifecycle, Nextpoint’s Discovery Cloud performs native file processing, document review and production. All three components of this e-discovery platform are fully integrated and seamlessly accessible via a click of the mouse.
“The ideal of being able to collect data from a laptop, then filter, process and review it without ever physically interacting with the data is now a reality,” says Nextpoint CEO Rakesh Madhava. “There is never a need to create a load file, from collection through trial. How awesome is that?”
With this strategic partnership, both companies are seeking to present a unified, cost-certain platform to address a significant challenge for buyers in today's e-discovery market.
“By taking advantage of the economies of scale that cloud computing provides, we can offer truly disruptive pricing. We believe this is a game changer and are excited to bring it to market,” said Sarah Thompson, Cumulus Data’s Vice President of Product Management. “We heard from our clients consistently and repeatedly that cost-certainty was a primary concern. This partnership gives clients the capacity to collect an unlimited number of sources and process, review and host 100 GB of native files for a particular matter for less than $30,000 a year. That is the cost, period.”
The companies have elected to deliver this offering via a SaaS platform built in the Amazon Web Services cloud—the leading cloud services provider in the world, with a host of security accreditations including FedRAMP certification. AWS’s scalable, reliable infrastructure offers bank-grade security, requires virtually no downtime, and can be accessed from anywhere.
This e-discovery platform will be offered for a single low-cost fixed fee, thus allowing users to provide alternative fee arrangements and truly predictable pricing to clients. Qualifying clients who sign up before October 1st will receive three months of the service free of charge.
Cumulus Data and Nextpoint representatives will attend this year’s ILTA conference at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and are available for private meetings and demonstrations. Please contact Sarah Thompson directly at 805-404-6410 or [email protected].
