More women need to be informed of this powerful complimentary and alternative approach to women’s wellness.
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) August 16, 2013
Brenda Strong, award-winning actress and founder of Strong Yoga® 4Women, and creator of the Strong Yoga® 4Fertility Certification and Teacher Training (as well as creator of the Strong Yoga® Fertility Ball Method) dedicated to eradicating the shame around infertility stigmas and increasing awareness about the effectiveness of alternative approaches to women’s wellness, like yoga and acupuncture, announced today the launch of her 52-hour intensive certification training program for teachers and fertility clinics wanting to provide this specialty. Registration is now open.
“More women need to be informed of this powerful complimentary and alternative approach to women’s wellness,” states Strong, who also serves as spokeswoman to The American Fertility Association. “We’d love to see yoga introduced as part of the initial conversation with one’s fertility doctor, as opposed to when all other options have been exhausted.”
One student already registered and eager to help other women is Josephine Aung.
Aung was 30, a successful attorney, married, and wanted to start a family. A year of trying to conceive naturally without results lead Josephine down a 5-year journey, $60,000 on 3 failed IVF’s, a roller-coaster of fertility drugs with strong side effects, depression, weight-gain, anxiety, stress, shame, and strain on her relationship- experiences all too familiar to 1 out of 6 women and couples not able to conceive easily. Feeling utterly depleted and “broken”, a Google search for alternative solutions suggested Brenda Strong’s Yoga® 4Fertility DVD. 5 months later, Aung was pregnant.
It was 1 in 8. Now, 1 in 6 individuals/couples experience infertility.
Strong and Aung will be meeting for the first time in August. Aung was so inspired by Brenda’s DVD, her law degree is now accompanied by yoga certifications, and she is highly dedicated to helping other women learn yoga for fertility. She plans to be the first to teach yoga for fertility in Irvine, Ca., a city with over 7 IVF clinics.
“It seems only right to be trained by Brenda and her team at Strong Yoga® 4Women. This completes the full-circle of my journey, and if I can help prevent other women from going through what I went through, it’s worth it,” Aung, now 38 with a beautiful 3-year-old daughter, exclaims.
