Health Industry Leaders Join COPE Health Solutions
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) August 16, 2013 -- Cindy Ehnes, Esq., the former Director of the California Department of Managed Health Care for 7 years under Governor Schwarzenegger and an attorney licensed in California and Colorado, has joined COPE Health Solutions as its Executive Vice President, Consulting. “We are thrilled to have Cindy join our organization,” said Allen Miller, President and CEO of the company. “She brings deep expertise in the strategy, planning and administration of managed care and risk-bearing health plans, medical groups and IPAs."
As Director, Cindy initiated the State's role in Pay for Performance initiatives, quality improvement, health information technology, RBO financial solvency oversight and expanding capital access for safety net entities. Most recently, Cindy was CEO of the California Children's Hospital Association where she explored change management at these vital pediatric safety net entities. She also served as Chief of Enforcement at the Colorado Department of Insurance for three years. Cindy lives in Sacramento with her husband, Jack.
Jim Lott, joined COPE Health Solutions as its Executive Vice President of External Affairs & Talent Development. Until recently, Jim served in a similar position with the Hospital Association of Southern California where he assisted over 100 hospital executives prepare for the changes ordered by the federal Affordable Care Act of 2010. Jim also served as the chief consultant to the Senate Committee on Health and Human Services in California throughout the '80s where he advised state legislators on health policy and budget matters. “Like Cindy, Jim brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in all things health care to our company,” said Miller.
