New York, NY (PRWEB) August 15, 2013
Fitness franchise iLoveKickboxing.com is pleased to announce the conclusion of its first annual Body Transformation Contest. Contestants had 45 days to transform their bodies and lives as much as possible through the company's fitness kickboxing classes. On Friday, August 9, the winners were announced.
Second place went to Quincy M. Sherman of Sandy, Utah. In her written essay -- a required element of all contest submissions -- Sherman revealed what the contest truly meant to her:
"In August 2012, I was the victim of a very brutal assault in which I almost lost my life. I felt powerless and defeated, emotionally and physically... I am so thankful that I took that leap of faith and went to my first [iLoveKickboxing.com] class. I believe that was the most difficult step to take, making a choice to just show up to class...
"I never imagined I could feel this confident and strong. Every time I go to class I am excited to see what my body can do, every time I push a little harder and I feel a little stronger."
Sherman lost a total of 16 pounds in the contest, though her overall weight loss since joining iLoveKickboxing.com is 34 pounds.
"The people who lost the most amount of weight did NOT actually win," stated iLoveKickboxing.com executive, Ryan Healy. "We were looking for the most powerful overall transformations. That includes inner-transformations of the mind and heart, as well as outer-transformations of the body."
