Finger Lakes Bone & Joint Center Founder Bestowed with Highest Honor
Geneva, NY (PRWEB) August 15, 2013 -- Finger Lakes Bone & Joint Center is proud to announce Dr. Daniel Alexander has been named as the namesake for Newark-Wayne Community Hospital’s new emergency department.
Dr. Alexander played an integral role in helping the hospital achieve its campaign goal for the new state-of-the-art emergency department. As the only hospital in Wayne County, the new emergency department will address the most significant needs in the community. Dr. Alexander committed the largest gift in the history of the hospital through the Dr. Daniel Alexander Family Foundation.
The new emergency department is the centerpiece of the NWCH’s modernization project. “The emergency department is very necessary and plays a vital role,” said Alexander. “I wanted to give back to the system that has allowed me to succeed in this region.
Dr. Alexander opened the Finger Lakes Bone & Joint Center in 2006. The practice has grown into two locations in Newark and Geneva, with plans to open a third locale in Canandaigua. The center performed over 1,400 procedures last year – making him one of the most sought after orthopedic surgeons in the country.
