The company was started by a group of native Angeleno misfits with a penchant for losing eyewear, mostly due to revelry, intoxication, and the poor decision making skills that inevitably follow.
In a little over two years, Shady Sluts has built an innuendo loving global following of over 70,000 Facebook fans resulting in sales to over 30 countries.
The concept was simple: make high quality, good looking glasses that you can wear to the beach, wear to the bar afterwards, and ultimately destroy or lose them without breaking the bank.
"We as humans have enough guilt the day after partying without having to suffer through a $150 or $200 loss. Fortunately for us, we weren't the only idiots losing glasses in a stupor, or doing something fun. So we invented a pair of sunglasses that understands...this is likely a short term relationship."

This guiding philosophy has helped Sluts gain the interest and sponsorship of names like You Tube prankster sensation Vitaly Zdorovetskiy (VitalyzdTv) and Frat Legend Jimmy Tatro (Life According to Jimmy). Celebrities seem to be getting the joke as well, from Mark Cuban to Janice Dickinson.
Among the dozen or so styles to choose from are the Gold Digger, Ice Cold, Red Hot, Native, and Classic, and with the average ticket around $35, Sluts are essentially guilt free. All styles are available directly through the website, and some through select retailers.
The company is expanding rapidly and actively forming distribution relationships and seeking strategic partnerships.
