NORTH CHARLESTON, N.C. (PRWEB) August 19, 2013
Charleston personal injury lawyers at Joye Law Firm will serve as a diamond-level sponsor of the Seventh Annual Lowcountry Wine and Beer Festival benefitting Barrier Islands Free Medical Clinic. The event will be held at Freshfields Village on Johns Island, Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The festival’s menu will include fine wines, craft beers, Executive Chef Richard Hege’s lowcountry buffet, and dessert pastries. Entertainment will be provided by Ann Caldwell, one of Charleston’s great voices of Southern Soul.
Proceeds from ticket sales and a silent auction will go to the Barrier Islands Free Medical Clinic, which depends on the annual festival and the generosity of the community to continue its services.
Barrier Islands Free Medical Clinic is a nonprofit organization that provides no-cost medical care, diagnostic laboratory testing, x-rays and specialty referrals to uninsured and low income adults living or working on Johns, Wadmalaw, and James islands. Since opening its doors in 2008, the clinic—which is staffed by volunteers—has provided more than 20,400 free doctor visits to these adults.
For more information about the clinic, contact Brenda Falls, MS Clinic Operations Manager, at (843) 266-9800.
