Summit County Local Preschoolers Train Hard for Strider Bike Race

“We are ecstatic to host such a fun event for kids this year during the Pro Cycling Challenge stage in Breckenridge,” said Ginny Vietti, Vice President of Marketing at Grand Lodge on Peak 7. “It should be a great way to get the crowd energized."

The Grand Lodge on Peak 7 Strider Challenge, presented by the Stork & Bear Company, will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 just before the Stage 3 start of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge in Breckenridge.

The Grand Lodge on Peak 7 Strider Challenge welcomes children ages two to five years old, of all riding abilities. Participants must provide their own balance bike and helmet. All racers will receive a gift bag following the event.

All registrants and parents must check in on the day of the race at the Stork & Bear booth in the Blue River Plaza on the corner of Washington and Main Street in Breckenridge by 9:00 a.m. with the race starting at 9:30 a.m.

Five Summit County locals have been training hard, preparing for their racing debut. JP Vietti, 4, of Silverthorne, Matthew Grattan, 5 of Dillon, Hannah Webb, 4 of Frisco, Max Klein, 4, of Silverthorne, and Grace Klein, 2, of Silverthorne, were the shining stars in the promotional video produced by Epic Mountain Productions for the Grand Lodge on Peak 7 Strider Challenge.
