If a fight or similar incident takes place, the installation of CCTV can help to identify the people responsible and assist the police in their investigations.

According to the article titled ‘CCTV Images Released of Suspects Wanted for Rayleigh Bar Brawl’ published in the Echo on August 14, Essex Police have released CCTV images of seven men in connection with the incident.

According to the report, the fight between two groups of men moved from the bar into the street, where bottles and chairs were thrown. The incident left two women seriously injured: a forty year old woman from Surrey was left with a broken bone in her jaw and damaged teeth, while a woman in her twenties sustained a nose injury. Both women were not connected with the groups of men involved in the incident.

Police have released CCTV images in the hope that the men can be identified.

As experts in security systems, AlertSystems recognise the importance of installing a CCTV security system in establishments such as bars and pubs. A representative for the company offered their comments:

“While owners of establishments such as bars can take all possible steps to ensure the safety of their customers, it can be difficult to predict the occurrence of a fight or attack. If a fight or similar incident takes place, the installation of CCTV can help to identify the people responsible and assist the police in their investigations.”
