SAR Productions is proud to announce its new film distribution channel ‘SAR On Demand’
London (PRWEB) August 20, 2013 -- It’s been a long time coming, but founder and CEO of London and Chicago based SAR Productions, Stephen Lloyd Jackson is pleased that his dream of being totally independent as a filmmaker has finally come to fruition. He states, “I can now produce, shoot and distribute my own movies, without going through the quagmire of third party movie companies and distributors.”
Sar On Demand is available throughout the world on any computer, mobile phone and tablet via the internet. All of SAR On Demand’s movies will be available in 1080 HD and will have a reliable delivery to any portal along with a secure payment system.
SAR On Demand will use the Vimeo platform to launch its services. As of December 2011, Vimeo attracted 65 million unique visitors per month and more than 8 million registered users. Fifteen percent of Vimeo’s traffic comes from mobile devices. As of February 2013, Vimeo accounted for a vast proportion of all Internet bandwidth, following fellow video sharing sites like YouTube and Facebook.
Jackson says that he’s spent the last four years searching and trying out different film distribution models. He has always wanted a delivery platform that was economical, technically astute and viable in contemporary indie-film distribution.
‘David Is Dying’, winner of eight international film festival awards, will be the feature movie to christen the new distribution channel. The next film on the SAR On Demand roster will be Jackson’s 2003 debut feature film ‘Rulers And Dealers’, a political, London noir – gangster thriller. “Rulers is actually undergoing major editorial surgery and will be released on the channel in early 2014.”
Jackson a former engineer himself believes that technology will be playing a major role in future film distribution. “Things can only get better for the “little guy” like me in the industry.”
