Macromicro Releases New Organizational Analysis Filtering Tools
Boston, MA (PRWEB) August 21, 2013 -- Earlier this year, Macromicro released a fully functional set of visualizations to its clients, offering them unprecedented abilities to delve into their existing datasets across a multitude of databases. The software aggregates organizational data and HR metrics from a variety of databases and presents them in an interactive interface through rich, data-dense information graphics.
New development this summer has led to functionality that enables users — mainly corporate leadership and HR management — to sift through these datasets using filters in remarkably efficient ways. Starting from Macromicro’s newly released interactive organization map, users choose one of a variety of attributes (e.g., job grade, spans of control, geographic location, tenure, comparatio, etc…), make a range selection within that given attribute (e.g., span of control less than 5), and then make an added selection of another metric and range (e.g., job grade greater than 15). As the user makes these selections, the visualizations respond instantly and allow the user to interact with the chart in a fluid manner. Say, for instance, the organization employs 60,000 people. Those employees who match the requested criteria are illuminated and the user can see their place in the context of the greater whole. The software also allows for additional selections to narrow the results even further (e.g., employees with a low span of control and high job grade who are based in the United States).
“This brings about substantial new functionality to Macromicro,” said Co-Founder and CEO Brad Peterson. “This month,” Peterson added, “we have been thrilled to bring more than a year’s worth of work to market: a new, visual way of seeing and interacting with an organization’s HR data, methods of filtering through these data, and an intuitive user interface.”
Producing multivariate data analysis like this has traditionally involved a great deal of time at great expense. Macromicro’s interface puts more than a dozen datasets together in one interface at the fingertips of the user. These datasets come from existing HR ERP databases including SAP and are housed on the client organization’s existing servers. This creates a highly-secure environment while providing the most accurate available data. Macromicro’s services are custom tailored to each customer and provided on a subscription basis.
Macromicro’s tools can serve as a highly effective method of analysis and decision-making in large, complex organizations. Further innovations and functionality is currently under development. Based in Boston, MA, Macromicro was founded in 2011 by Brad Peterson, CEO, and Alexander Cheek, CDO. Harri Nieminen serves as CTO.
Macromicro will be demonstrating their work at the HR Technology Conference & Expo 2013 in Las Vegas and HR Tech Europe 2013 in Amsterdam.
