via680, a portfolio company of the Youngstown Business Incubator (YBI), announced its third version of Ving, an engagement tool that ensures important messages are understood and acted on. The company is offering forever-free accounts in its quest to improve communication for businesses and schools.

The latest version of Ving boasts an enhanced, intuitive interface that empowers people to create and receive dynamic, multimedia messages. Ving messages can be shared through email, social media, or websites, and recipient interaction can be tracked real-time through an engagement dashboard.

“We are continually seeking opportunities to improve our products,” said Tony DeAscentis, CEO of via680, “and we see our customers as tremendous resources in our research and development efforts. During the month of June, we did a ten-day circuit where we conducted 1,400 'sneak peaks' – demonstrations of the new user interface. We are psyched to say that we hit a home run! It’s clear that the focus groups and customers that led us to this new interface were spot on."

Customers can now record audio and video directly into a Ving, which significantly simplifies the creation of Ving multimedia messages. Additional improvements include a more powerful Engagement Dashboard with the ability to cull more extensive data from messages, track recipient progress with message assets, and provide real-time, detailed feedback and completion statistics. This tracking feature eliminates any possibilities for misunderstandings.

DeAscentis described what makes this third release of Ving superior to the previous versions. “The new Ving experience clearly enables users to effortlessly create and dynamically collect feedback that measures engagement level with their most important messages,” said DeAscentis. “Ving’s new interface also allows customers to more easily create multimedia messages including videos, documents, audio files, and surveys, and send them in one attention-grabbing package.”

Ving user Jessica Baker, administrative assistant at Trillium Creek, explains how Ving enhances communication and prevent misunderstandings. “Employees can refer to Ving anytime they want if they have questions, weren’t able to be at the meeting, or can’t remember what was said,” said Baker. “This has cut down on miscommunication and ensures that everyone is up to date.”

Ving is also a tool that creates new opportunities for engagement with students and parents. “Ving eliminates miscommunication between students and parents about important projects and assignments,” states Ving user Jeff Hammond, a teacher from South Range Middle School.
