On September 10, 2013, CPI Twin Cities is sponsoring the Vistage Minnesota All-City event. Brian Beaulieu, Economist and CEO of the Institute of Trend Research, will be presenting. Beaulieu will clearly define what the leading indicators signify about the economy’s direction through the next year. He will discuss the megatrends that will impact business decision-making without losing sight of the probability of a recession in the near term.

On September 11, 2013, CPI Twin Cities is sponsoring the HRP-MN Fall Event. The topic of the conference is The Business of Inclusion. Shirley Engelmeier, CEO and founder of InclusionINC, will present a dynamic session focusing on how to make inclusion an integral part of your overall business strategy and culture.

On September 12, 2013, CPI Twin Cities is sponsoring the Work/Life and Flexibility Expo. In addition, Debra Magnuson, CPI Twin Cities’ VP of Talent Management is moderating an interactive discussion on the Recipe for Retention at the Expo. As the economic recovery continues there is a strong trend toward employee concerns beyond job security, and we are seeing a renewed focus on employee engagement as a critical factor that drives performance. Employee engagement touches many aspects of talent management; retention, productivity, job satisfaction and commitment, and study after study points out the relationship between high levels of engagement and high levels of financial performance. Debra Magnuson will present on Staying Resilient in the Face of Change, by sharing her insights and experiences helping leaders at all levels strengthen personal confidence and gain skills to overcome the challenges of a changing workforce in a fast-changing industry.

On October 13-15, 2013, CPI Twin Cities is sponsoring the SHRM Minnesota State Conference. The conference is being held at the Duluth Entertainment and Conference Center. Four keynote speakers, including Dennis Stauffer and Sarah Sladek, and 37 general and concurrent sessions covering a wide range of human resource topics for all levels of practitioners will be offered.
