Foundation Financial Group Gets Quacky on the Roof
Dayton, OH (PRWEB) August 22, 2013 -- Foundation Financial Group is preparing for the next stage of its sponsorship of United Rehabilitation Services’ 2013 Rubber Duck Regatta. To help promote the upcoming fundraiser, Foundation Financial will welcome a 12-foot duck to its Dayton Retail Branch Office, located at 2745 Miamisburg Centerville Road #2.
"Thanks to the support of local businesses like Foundation Financial Group, all of the expenses associated with URS' Rubber Duck Regatta are covered by our sponsors," said Executive Director Dennis G. Grant. "That means that 100% of duck adoption proceeds benefit vital programs for children and adults with disabilities in our community.”
Quackers, the inflatable United Rehabilitation Services mascot, will spend the last week of August hanging out on the rooftop of FFG’s Dayton Retail Branch Office. Whenever asked, FFG’s professionals will offer insight to the URS organization along with their mortgage, insurance, and retirement expertise. Quackers and URS are on a mission to enhance the quality of life for those with disabilities or other special needs.
“Not everyone knows what URS is, but if you mention the giant yellow ducky and the Rubber Duck Regatta, they know exactly what you’re talking about,” said Foundation Financial Group Event Coordinator Tessa Lawson. “People rally around Quackers because of the beautiful energy that embodies his cause. This enormous duck in sunglasses attracts interest and creates opportunities to educate others about the outstanding charity he represents. It’s hard not to smile at Quackers and almost impossible to resist bringing smiles and support to those he represents!”
Quackers has been migrating around Dayton, generating excitement for the upcoming event. Quackers’ adventures began on July 27, with a trip to the new Kroger at Austin Landing; he has since perched on a billboard and been spotted at Mercedes-Benz of Centerville. To help Quackers make the Rubber Duck Regatta a success, visit daytonducks.com and adopt a rubber duckling.
“FFG is thrilled to display Quackers and an undeniable testament of our support for the clients of URS,” said Lawson. “His increased proportions make him hard to miss and make a statement that whoever is hosting him is equally committed to the cause he symbolizes. Foundation Financial Group doesn’t just donate to causes; we actively volunteer because that’s what enriches lives and improves communities.”
Originally founded in 1956 as the Dayton Chapter of United Cerebral Palsy, United Rehabilitation Services now provides daily services to more than 400 children and adults with Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Muscular Dystrophy, Autism, Alzheimer’s Disease, Pervasive Developmental Disorders, and many other disabilities. URS services include therapy programs, transportation assistance, and vocation programs. As a member of the Better Business Bureau, URS programs adhere to rigorous charitable giving standards, and URS services are accredited nationally and locally.
