Mother and Daughter Team Up To Run A New Online Gift and Stationery Boutique, SweetGraceGiftsandPaper.com
(PRWEB) August 20, 2013 -- Peg Pickens and her daughter Katie recently launched Sweet Grace Gifts & Paper. The mother-daughter duo had talked about working together for years. As soon as Katie finished college 10 years ago they started talking about the possibilities. Katie says, “We are so happy we have finally been able to make our dreams a reality.” Peg is especially thrilled to be moving to Nashville area this month as that is where Katie lives. She’s hoping to have more face-to-face meetings!
About Sweet Grace Gifts & Paper, Peg says, “it is a sweet little boutique featuring unique monogrammed & personalized gifts, celebration announcements & invitations—but it offers so much more too! Our goal is to provide amazing products with extraordinary service for each of our customers.”
Sweet Grace Gifts and Paper is pleased to offer the Printswell Store through their online boutique! Peg and Katie are excited that Printswell carries one of their favorite Nashville artists, Sherrie Neely, whose company is Prints Charming Paper. About some of the stationery lines, Katie says, "We know that stationery creates a very special memory for those personal celebrations and that's what makes the Printswell mix of designers so important to our business, as well as their quality printing and customer service." In addition to the Printswell Store, Sweet Grace Gifts and Paper offers a selection of paper-related gifts and accessories from Boatman Geller and Donovan Designs, which can be found in several categories on the site.
Sweet Grace Gifts and Paper has a wide selection of gifts for all holidays, birthdays, weddings, housewarming, hostess, and graduation. For Him or For Her, Sweet Grace Gifts and Paper offers many choice from cell phone cases and other tech accessories to beautiful bracelets, pendants, necklaces and earrings. A wonderful gift for Her is the Hope Monogram Charm Necklace, a personalized wearable reminder to always stay strong and have courage.
Sweet Grace Gifts and Papers also carries an eclectic selection of goods for the home, for the kitchen, and for the bar -- from cutting boards to acrylic stemware, placemats to wall art. Many of these gifts can be personalized and make great housewarming, hostess, engagement or wedding presents!
Sweet Grace Gifts and Paper offers a delightful selection of gifts for the new baby, in keepsake and functional items. Sweet Grace Gifts and Paper's children's selection offered is fun and functional, too, all personalized for special giving. On select Tuesdays, Sweet Grace Gifts and Paper features a Tuesday's Child is Full of Grace Sale promoted on their Facebook page. It may be a particular item or an entire collection discount from the Baby and Child Category, but will always be a special offering.
In regards to working together, Peg and Katie have some advice to share with other mother-daughter teams. Peg says, "To create an environment to help mentor and nurture your daughter's talent and help her become all she can be in the world is an incredible experience."
Katie says: “I learn so much from my mom. She has a decade of experience in the paper and gift industry. Her contacts and experiences have really shown me how we can make this work and succeed. I love finding new products for Sweet Grace, there are always new products and fun monogrammed items coming out in the market and I enjoy the finding items that I think will be fun to buy and use. Of course I have to sample and show off the products as well!”
They both agree that the most important thing is to be able to recognize each family member's strength and capitalize on those strengths. Peg says: “Katie has the mind of a detail-oriented person, but with more of a creative twist. Her ability to appreciate trendy for the moment and combine it with traditional makes it easy for me to value her opinions when making decisions about Sweet Grace's product line. I think the ‘generational thing’ just broadens our customer base!” Katie says, “I think my mom brings tradition to the table and I bring the trend. We both believe in the traditions of the Southern Lady, so it works well that my mom is so well versed and taught me so much about this growing up. However, trendy and traditional must mix to make something modern and meet the needs of the current Southern Young Lady. I think we have put together something in SweetGraceGiftsandPaper.com that appeals to the trendy young lady and the traditional Southern woman. “
