Louis Berger Announces Completion of New York Red Bulls Multi-million Dollar Training Facility
Morristown, N.J. (PRWEB) August 20, 2013 -- The Louis Berger Group, Inc. (Louis Berger) announced the completion of a $20 million training facility in Hanover, N.J., for the New York Red Bulls, a Major League Soccer team this summer. Since April 2012, the firm has worked closely with the New York Red Bulls’ ownership team to fast-track the facility’s opening by providing design, permitting and construction management services.
“This project included time and cost saving measures, allowing the facility to open in just 14 months,” said Tom Lewis, Louis Berger’s group vice president of U.S. Operations. “Through our services, we’re very pleased to be able to support Red Bull’s investment in the team by helping them build a facility they can finally call home.”
Louis Berger implemented a phased approach to expedite completion of the project, allowing construction on the main building to progress through the design and permitting process for additional facilities. Modular structures were constructed off-site while dynamic compaction and foundation construction were performed, further reducing time and cost.
The new facility boasts four on-site buildings to accommodate players, visiting teams, and team administration and operations personnel. Its three fields, two natural and one artificial, match the exact dimensions and orientation of the team’s playing surface at Red Bull Arena. Louis Berger previously assisted in the development of the arena, providing environmental monitoring, quality control inspections and construction management services.
