Upon its opening, Della Curva will offer full-figured curvy brides a boutique they can finally call their own. No more impersonal big box stores. No more trying to squeeze into a size 6. Della Curva is an expansion of Lili Bridals (http://www.lilibridals.com), owned and operated by Lisa Litt, which is just downstairs from the new salon. It will offer plus-size wedding gowns from top designers like Allure, Sophia Tolli and Watters, jewelry, belts, sashes, headpieces and veils by Lori London and much more. During an appointment, Della Curva’s brides will have the full attention of a professional bridal stylist and a private dressing area in one of Della Curva’s large dressing rooms.
Traditionally, plus-size women find shopping for a wedding gown to be an intimidating experience. Making matters worse, many retailers have done nothing to alleviate their trepidation about the process. Add in the fact that bridal gowns run very small, and it's often a painful and teary-eyed experience for any bride with real curves.
But that’s all about to change for Southern California plus-sized brides because at Della Curva, “they will be given the attention, selection and respect they so richly deserve,” Litt says. “For the first time in Los Angeles, plus-sized brides will have an entire bridal salon, its inventory and its staff completely dedicated to helping them find the dress of their dreams.”
Litt knows what she’s talking about since she’s been in the bridal industry her entire life. Raised in “the business,” she is now the third generation of her family to run the previously mentioned Lili Bridals, which has been a trusted name with Los Angeles-area brides for over 55 years.
