US Lumber Selects the Social Foundry to Create Mobile Solutions On the Salesforce.com Platform

US Lumber builds the Yardwalk mobile application using technology provided by the Social Foundry. The Yardwalk will enable field sales representatives to respond to customer requests on the spot versus waiting until they return to the office.

US Lumber, a leading distributor of wood products, has selected the Social Foundry to help develop its mobile strategy. Using The SOAPbox, US Lumber has connected its legacy inventory system to Salesforce.com via a mobile application.

Dubbed, the Yardwalk, this mobile application allows US Lumber to access inventory levels and pricing information in real-time so that field salesman can create custom quotations on the spot. Salesman can, view orders, check pricing, and place new orders on a tablet while walking around the their customers lumber yard. Long gone are the days of submitting orders only when you arrived back in the office. The Yardwalk enables US Lumber's Salesforce to service the customers needs in a more efficient and effective manner.
