Mind Your Body Pilates is "Studio of the Month" in the Peak Pilates News, and is Honored to be Highlighted by a Company Who Shares Strong Commitment to Pilates Education
New York, NY (PRWEB) August 22, 2013 -- Gail Giovanniello, Advanced Senior Pilates Teacher - PMA® CPT and owner of Mind Your Body Pilates UES, is very proud to announce the recent recognition of Mind Your Body as Studio of the Month in a feature in Peak Pilates monthly online news.
Gail Giovanniello founded Mind Your Body in 1995 on the Upper East Side in New York City when Pilates was just starting to become mainstream.
The studio has expanded three times since and currently has two well-equipped locations, which offer both the intimacy and focus of private sessions as well as over fifty weekly small group classes –with five or fewer students – in Pilates Reformer, Tower and Chair, plus Body Sculpt and TRX Suspension.
Pilates Teacher Training is soon being offered for the third consecutive season, and is a main focus for the studio's future, as Gail's expertise is largely defined by years of dedicated and concentrated study with several second-generation teachers from Joseph Pilates lineage, including Deborah Lessen who studied with Carola Trier, and Cara Reeser who studied with Kathy Stanford Grant.
The staff of fifteen teachers at Mind Your Body are hand-picked for their vast experience; however, their knowledge is continuously expanded through frequent in-house trainings in which Gail shares the intricate body wisdom which she is devoted to attaining and refining.
Says Gail Giovanniello, owner of Mind Your Body Pilates UES: "It's an honor to be Studio of the Month. I have tried not to succumb to fitness trends and to remain focused in my goal to teach Pilates the way it was intended to be taught."
Gail's most recent Pilates continuing education commitment is this month's Pilates Spine Corrector Workshop which is to be held on Thursday, August 22nd from 12Noon - 2PM. Her idea to have this workshop is partly based on desiring to teach the bonafide elements of the spine corrector in the way Joseph Pilates designed this piece of body-transformative apparatus as opposed to the more lightweight and typically fitness-oriented Pilates Arc.
Gail's commitment to ongoing Pilates continuing education can always be viewed on the Pilates Teacher Training & Pilates Workshops tabs on the Mind Your Body website which regularly lists upcoming In-House Trainings which are primarily given for the Mind Your Body Pilates teaching staff but are also available to the general public, including this month's Pilates Spine Corrector Workshop.
