The Learning Show with Leigh Gregory
“We’re really focusing on customers now who want to apply our content to an entire organization, and how they can do that more effectively. And our library speaks for itself,” said Koreen.

The Learning Show, hosted by writer-director and instructional designer, Leigh Gregory, appears to be making all the right steps on its way to becoming the training industry’s de facto internet talk show. One of those steps was getting Koreen Pagano of Lynda.com on the show.
“The Learning Show is about learning; all kinds of learning - from early childhood to corporate. If it’s cutting edge, effective, and making the world a smarter place, I’m all over it. And I want to get the word out about it,” said Leigh. “And you can’t have a serious conversation about learning without including companies like Lynda.com. We’re so glad Koreen was able to chat with us.”
Lynda.com provides training for over 2 million people. Their use of high quality video and expert instructors puts them out front in the online learning space. It all started when co-founder Lynda Weinman, then a teacher at the Art Center College of Design, had trouble finding a web design book to recommend to her students. As history would have it, she decided to write one. The book turned out to be the first text book for web design in the early days of the internet. And it was a commercial success. From there, Lynda and her husband and co-founder Bruce Heavin decided to offer web design classes through the tried and true classroom model. Soon business was booming with classrooms, books and videos. Then the Dot.com crash forced a pivot so they began offering their videos online through a subscription model. And that’s how Lynda.com as we know and love it was born.
“Koreen is right. Everybody loves Lynda. They provide such a wonderful service. And now they’re offering business skills training too. What’s not to like,” said Marguerite Gregory, co-founder of Trainevision and executive producer of The Learning Show.
“We’re really focusing on customers now who want to apply our content to an entire organization, and how they can do that more effectively. And our library speaks for itself,” said Koreen.
Lynda.com is headquartered in Carpinteria, California and helmed by CEO, Eric Robison. It has over 400 employees and boasts a library of over 2,000 courses.
