Has a teacher made a positive impact in your life? Nominate your favorite Georgia educator for the Law Offices of Shane Smith’s Teacher of the Month Award!

Behind every successful person is an army of teachers, from the kindergarten teacher who taught them to tie their shoes to the high school chemistry instructor who opened their mind to new worlds. Of all of these educators, most everyone will remember one or two very special teachers who changed lives and outlooks forever. The Law Offices of Shane Smith would like to recognize theses standout teachers in the Fayette County and Coweta County school districts through the creation of a local Teacher of the Month Award.

Beginning this month, the Peachtree City law firm will choose an outstanding educator in the Atlanta area to applaud, recognize, and reward for the teachers often overlooked efforts. This teacher, who will be nominated by individuals in the community including students, parents, and peers and then selected by a special panel of local citizens, will be awarded with a $200 check for school supplies, as well as a $25 gift card to Partner’s Pizza. In addition, the teachers invaluable work and dedication to their students will be highlighted in the local newspapers.

“Teachers have one of the most important professions in the country,” said Peachtree City attorney Shane Smith “yet they often work long hours and receive relatively little compensation without proper recognition. While all teachers are helping to secure the future success of the children, a few shining stars are going the extra mile to truly make the classroom experience magical. We hope that the new award takes one step toward giving these special educators the acknowledgment and appreciation they deserve.”

All K-12 teachers in the Fayette County and Coweta County school districts are eligible for this new award. Nomination forms—which may be filled out by the public—are due by the 20th of each month. Nominations should be based upon the commitment, dedication, talent, and enthusiasm of the instructor.

“It is difficult to make a difference in today’s world, but our local teachers do so every day through their devotion to their students,” said Smith. “I’m thrilled that our legal practice will be honoring and celebrating the best and brightest educators in our very own community.”

About the Law Offices of Shane Smith:

Located in Peachtree City and serving clients throughout the state of Georgia, the attorneys at the Law Offices of Shane Smith practice personal injury law, estate and elder care planning, and fair debt collection violations. What makes the firm different from other law firms that practice in multiple areas is that each attorney at the Law Offices of Shane Smith and their supporting staff members are dedicated to practicing in one area of law rather than each doing a little bit of everything. The firm’s philosophy is that, by limiting each of their attorneys to one practice area, they gain a very deep understanding of that area in full and are highly equipped to represent the best interests of their clients.
