The Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) applauds the appointment of Jeanne Hulit as acting Commissioner of the Small Business Administration (SBA). AAHOA members have a long history of working with SBA approved lenders to help grow the hospitality industry. Commissioner Hulit and her predecessor Commissioner Karen Mills have actively supported the expansion of small business financing options.
“The Small Business Administration has been a wonderful partner to the hospitality industry for many years. Under the leadership of Karen Mills our industry was able to work directly with the SBA to help weather difficult economic times,” said Mehul Patel, AAHOA National Chairman. “We are excited about the opportunity to work with Commissioner Hulit and together create a stronger economy with more jobs.”
Fred Schwartz, AAHOA President, echoes the Chairman’s sentiments by adding, “Jeanne Hulit has an extensive and successful background in small business development, economic development and commercial finance. She is an outstanding choice to continue the important work being done by the Small Business Administration.”
