Summer is slowly coming to an end, and Labor Day weekend in Lake Tahoe is a perfect bookend to all of the summer excitement. TahoesBest.com recommends checking out the Sample the Sierra Festival, Kiwanis Community Fair, and watching the Labor Day fireworks explode over the lake. With so many fun things to do in Lake Tahoe during Labor Day weekend, it will be impossible not to have fun. It might be time to wave summer goodbye, but at least it’s leaving with a bang!
Sample the Sierra
The 4th annual Sample the Sierra festival is happening September 1st, an exciting event that brings South Lake Tahoe farm fresh produce to be prepared by local chefs and paired with delicious wines and beers. The festival is all about celebrating the region’s heritage and harvest.
Sample the Sierra takes place from 1pm - 5pm on Ski Run Blvd. in South Lake Tahoe, so bring the family and make the most of this Labor Day event! Tickets are still available, and cost $30.00. Look forward to artisan vendors, live music, and, of course, incredible food.
Kiwanis Community Fair
Carnival rides, food, and great events galore! Parents beware: too much carnival food and a ride on the Tornado might mean heads in the trashcan. This event is free to the public, and takes place in the Heavenly Resort parking lot from Friday through Sunday.
End the summer with a bang of fireworks. With so many viewpoints all around the lake, it would be impossible to miss this year’s display, taking place on September 1 at 8:30pm. The editors of TahoesBest.com have come up with best three spots for watching the fireworks this year:
