Boost Software recently won an Award for Excellence in Customer Service from Talk of the Town News. Talk of the Town News is a website that collects customer-oriented information about online businesses and offline businesses which have an online presence.

The award was given after the Talk of the Town Ratings Division researched consumer buzz about Boost Software on social media networks, blogs, and customer review sites such as CNet, TrustPilot, and Tucows.

Talk of the Town reviews hundreds of business websites and their online consumer “buzz” each year, citing on its website those businesses it feels worthy of a 4 or 5 star rating. The site estimates that it gives awards to roughly 10% of sites reviewed. Boost Software scored a 4.5 for its Excellence in Customer Satisfaction award.

Boost Software is a software developer that specializes in computer optimization programs for everyday users. Its flagship product, PC HealthBoost, is designed to fix computer errors, get rid of outdated or corrupt files, and avoid computer freezes, crashes, and other disasters.

Founders Peter Dunbar and Amit Mehta, after selling similar programs, decided to develop a program that was easier, safer, and more efficient to use than anything they had previously seen. The pair spent over a year and upwards of six figures to develop their user-friendly software, which they named PC HealthBoost.

“It's always nice to be recognized for your hard work,” says Mehta. “But, best of all, is knowing you've created something that really helps people out, that they are satisfied with.”

The Talk of the Town award isn't the only recognition Boost Software has received in the past few months. The company was accepted as a Microsoft Partner late in 2012, earning Gold status as a developer and vendor shortly thereafter. The company's Microsoft status and consumer reviews can be seen at the Microsoft Pinpoint page for Boost Software.

Boost Software also recently received a Silver Trophy from the Best in Biz 2013 Awards International committee, in the Best New Business category. Winners of the Best in Biz awards in other categories include Epson and Dell Software.
