CaptureAudio for iOS adds native iPad support and Dropbox Syncing
Miami, FL (PRWEB) August 22, 2013 -- G8R Software releases CaptureAudio V1.4, now with Universal support for the iPad, iPhone & iPod Touch. More than a simple audio recorder, CaptureAudio combines audio recording with the Flag marking system originally introduced in CaptureNotes. Flags are named graphical elements that mark positions in your recordings for reference when reviewing recorded material. Inserted Flags are linked to that specific point of the audio for quick playback. Students, Business Professionals and every day iOS users have found the Flag markers to be in a class by themselves when using CaptureAudio for the iPhone. Now iPad users can benefit from this special feature.
Along with native iPad support, CaptureAudio users can now sync across multiple devices using the included Dropbox Sync. Once the Dropbox Sync has been established, CaptureAudio keeps track of the changes, and updates the devices both ways to keep everything up to date; Audio Recordings, Text Notes, Recording Tags, Custom Flags Sets... all aspects of the sessions are synced between devices.
“Our team thought it was essential to provide a true syncing capability for our users when introducing the native iPad version of CaptureAudio. Students can record and take notes in class on their iPad, then playback the lecture on their iPhone during their walk home from class or while waiting for another class to begin.” said Scott Bryan, G8R Software founder. “The feedback we’ve received from our users made it clear that true syncing would move the dial for them. Particularly when compared with a user trying to recall which device had the recording they needed. ”, Bryan further added.
CaptureAudio takes advantage of the larger iPad screen by including the Text Note entry area next to the Flag Wheel and Time Display Window. “Users told us that they would like the ability to add Flags to a recording, while being able type in additional thoughts. The split screen view was a natural solution that users are familiar with from current apps like Mail.”, said Bryan. If a cleaner view is desired by users that want to focus on recording and marking with the Flags, the keyboard can simply be dismissed.
CaptureAudio supports teams easily as well... the audio recordings, text notes and tags can be shared with other CaptureAudio users. Teams can now deliver a consistent message with the directly recorded material, including the Flags marking key points. Assignments that are made during meetings will be clear, with no question about decisions or who is responsible for fulfillment. Regularly scheduled meetings benefit from Custom Flag Sets available for the standard topics of discussion and/or participants. The recordings can then be circulated to all participants for specific follow up, or even shared to a corporate network. Accountability will be clear.
CaptureAudio is optimized for the iPhone 5, runs natively on all iOS devices capable of operating iOS 6.1 and is immediately available on the App Store.
