Home lifts provider Stiltz Lifts has opened a new showroom in Berkshire so that visitors can come and experience the innovative lift for themselves.
The UK-owned domestic lifts supplier has expanded its operations and taken on another site in Space Business Centre in Wokingham following rapid growth since it moved to the town in 2010.
Stiltz Lifts remain at Units 21-22, but the site is now solely used as its assembly and storage warehouse. The new showroom at Unit 24 acts as a place for customers to come and view a Stiltz home lift and speak to one of the team’s lift specialists.
Showcased at the Ideal Home Show in London, and later in Ireland, the company launched the Stiltz through-floor lift more than three years ago – the first of its kind to be available in the United Kingdom. Stiltz Lifts developed the lift to make life easier when stairs become too much and as the ideal alternative to the outdated stairlift which can sometimes be obtrusive and undignified for the user.
Stiltz Lifts currently has the entry-level model, the Stiltz Duo Lift, on display for demonstration in the new showroom and the team has removed the office staircase so the only way to reach the upper level is by experiencing the home lift first hand. Customers can also view the Stiltz Vista Lift or Stiltz Trio Lift by appointment at Units 21-22.
Previously, the company arranged for prospects to visit existing customers’ properties which already had one of the through-floor lifts installed. Although this option will continue to be offered, the new site provides a pleasant alternative to interested parties.
Stiltz Director of Business Development, Lachlan Faulkner, believes that the showroom will give visitors the convenience of trying out the home lift for themselves in a comfortable and friendly environment.
Mr Faulkner said: “Stiltz Lifts has had fantastic success since moving to Wokingham and we enjoy working in the area. We wanted to expand our business further by offering people the chance to come down and see one of our home lifts in action so taking on a new available unit in Space Business Centre was the perfect solution for us.
“The new showroom is only one down from our existing premises and has lots of parking for visitors. We’ve pulled out the staircase and installed a Duo Lift so people get to ride the lift and see exactly how it works. Many people cannot believe how easy it is to install and how much little space it takes up compared to a stairlift which can also be expensive to service and maintain.
“Visitors can come and sit down, have a cup of tea or coffee, pick up one of our brochures and speak with one of our specialists and get answers to any questions that they might have. The new showroom will enable us to make purchasing a home lift from Stiltz Lifts a pleasurable experience from start to finish.”
Stiltz Lifts offer a free-site inspection and no obligation quotation. Prices from the Stiltz Home Lift range start from £8,990 (+VAT).
ABOUT STILTZ LIFTS
Stiltz Lifts is the sole supplier, manufacturer and installer of Stiltz home lifts. Based in Wokingham, Berkshire, the company was founded in the United Kingdom and has a manufacturing facility in China.
Stiltz gained its experience designing domestic lifts and elevators in Australia for more than two decades. The lifts are through-floor and fit in the home - the first of their kind to be available in the UK.
The company developed the lift to make life easier for elderly or disabled people and help them to stay in their own homes for longer when stairs become too much. Unlike a stairlift, the Stiltz lift carries two people comfortably and is a hassle-free and cost-effective alternative.
The Stiltz Home Lifts range includes the standard Duo Lift, the Vista Lift and the Trio Lift. Stiltz’s lifts do not need fixing to walls and can be fitted almost anywhere in the home with no major building work. They have the smallest footprint for a residential lift on the market.
The lifts are also the quietest as they do not use hydraulics and are instead powered a unique electric motor drive system that is located discretely in the top of the lift car. All Stiltz domestic lifts are powered by a simple normal 13-amp power socket like any other household appliance which uses less power than an electric kettle.
No planning permission is needed for Stiltz lifts – just a standard building notice application. VAT exemption and grants from the Disabilities Facilities Grant are also available.
