New Book by Shan Laks Is Children’s Survival Guide for Staying Safe and Healthy
BRISBANE, Australia (PRWEB) August 27, 2013 -- Does your child need a survival guide for elementary school?
Shan Laks thinks so.
She addresses many of the issues affecting children today, such as stranger danger, bullying and obesity, in her new book, "The Tale of Brave Ritchie."
Laks provides three instructive tales for the price of one as she guides children through various situations. Ritchie the Rat and his adventures at home and school can help teach children about the dangers of talking to strangers, how to deal with bullies and the benefits of exercise for their health.
The stories in "The Tale of Brave Richie" revolve around Ritchie the Rat and each situation is a test of Ritchie’s wits and courage. While exploring the forest looking for friends to play Ritchie meets three dangerous animals. Then while at school, Ritchie met a bully rat called Cheet. Lastly, Ritchie convinces his school friends to have fun and learn new tricks at Mr. Hardy’s fitness.
Laks has a long history in education and is passionate about teaching children. “My goal is to connect teachers, parents and children in their communities and get them to address ways to keep our children safe and healthy,” said Laks.
