McMinnville Cellular Sales Employees Raise Money for Children’s Hospital
Portland, OR (PRWEB) August 26, 2013 -- Cellular Sales, the nation’s largest Verizon premium wireless retailer, is proud to announce that employees at its McMinnville, Ore., store, through their own efforts, have worked to raise $1,129 for Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland.
Miranda Klahn, who works at Cellular Sales’ McMinnville store, contacted Cellular Sales searching for a way for the company to support a local organization that was special to her. The company supported Klahn’s idea to set up a program selling bracelets and paper doll cut-outs to their customers in order to raise money for Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.
“When Miranda came to us with this idea, we couldn’t say ‘yes’ fast enough,” Jim Martin, regional director at Cellular Sales said. “We couldn’t be more proud of the effort Miranda and our McMinnville team put forth in order to support the children’s hospital.”
Through Klahn and the rest of the McMinnville store’s efforts, they were able to raise $1,129, which was given to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.
“As a company, you always hope to have employees like the ones we have in McMinnville,” Martin said. “It’s nice to see people giving back to the community, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have excellent people like this representing us.”
