MLB All-Star and Philanthropist Steve Garvey to Deliver Keynote Speech at Vehicle Protection Association (VPA) Annual Meeting
ST. LOUIS (PRWEB) August 22, 2013 -- The Vehicle Protection Association (VPA), a not-for-profit trade association dedicated to ensuring the integrity of the automotive service contract industry, is excited to announce that former Major League Baseball (MLB) player, businessman and philanthropist, Steve Garvey, will be the keynote speaker at this year’s annual meeting on Sept. 15-16, 2013 at Bally's Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.
Steve, a 10-time MLB All-Star who once played in more than 1,000 consecutive games, now utilizes that same drive and dedication to motivate businesspeople and companies around the world to reach their fullest potential. In addition to his accomplishments on the field, Steve is proud to be an active philanthropist and volunteer. He succeeded Frank Sinatra as the National Campaign Chairman of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, serves on the Board of Directors for the UCLA Division of Neurosurgery, and was chosen as one of Disney's 30th Anniversary "American Heroes."
“Steve is the perfect keynote speaker for the annual meeting because he embodies everything the Vehicle Protection Association stands for, including integrity, dedication and leadership,” said Chris Carenza, executive director of the VPA. “We are excited and honored to host Steve and hear anecdotes from his days on the field as well as business motivation tips and takeaways.”
The VPA’s two-day annual meeting is the premier gathering of companies and professionals involved in the vehicle service contracts industry.
