Attorney Charles Boyk has published a blog post in his website that includes Labor Day weekend traffic statistics. His law office decided to share the statistics in attempt to increase safety awareness in preparation for the upcoming holiday weekend that begins at 6 p.m. on Friday, August 30 and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, September 2.

The statistics included in the post were the number of Labor Day weekend fatalities that occurred between the years of 2006 – 2011. The numbers are quite surprising as hundreds of individuals are killed on the roadways in the three day stretch.

“The statistics published in the post are going to take many by surprise. It is hard to imagine so many fatalities occurring within such a short period of time,” said Attorney Boyk. “I hope that by sharing this information, we help readers realize that they must practice safe driving this upcoming weekend.”
