Teen Wolf's Jeff Davis and Joe Genir Talk about Derek's Future and Why Stiles Will Remain Human on AfterBuzz TV
Los Angeles, CA, (PRWEB) August 22, 2013 -- Teen Wolf's Creator Jeff Davis and Executive Producer Joe Genir made an appearance on AfterBuzz TV's Teen Wolf aftershow Tuesday night. In their appearance, Davis and Genir talk about why Stiles will remain human, what is to come for Derek and how this season will get even darker.
Davis on Season Three of Teen Wolf:
“If ‘Teen Wolf’ can get any darker, I think we might be going there.” Davis says, “We really went for it this season with a very complicated narrative. I remember reading tweets every week and half the tweets were like, ‘Teen Wolf is so confusing.’ I’m like, ‘That is why we want you to watch it 4 times.’”
Davis on if they’ll introduce a new monster:
“With the new episode order, which is 24 episodes a year, we talked about how it would be a lot easier to do that,” says Davis.
Davis on Derek leaving:
“[Derek] leaves for two reasons and you’ll find out those two reasons in the first episode of the winter season, January 6th,” says Davis, “Derek, I think, is going to have a great character arc in the winter [season]. We have essentially built him up as sort of a Greek tragic hero who is done in by his own hubris in the second season and deals with the repercussions of that hubris in the third season and is now on the path to becoming a real hero.”
Davis on Stiles:
Davis says, “My feeling is that Stiles probably needs to remain a human... but who knows."
Davis on Ian Bohen's acting:
Davis says, “Whenever you find a great actor you start writing to them. We found some phenomenal people, like Ian Bohen was supposed to be a one shot and I said to him in season two, ‘The greatest complement an actor can have is being brought back to life.’”
