We’re witty, we’re colorful, extroverted and definitely not afraid of a good time. I think all of that comes together to produce a line that always turns heads.

From their witty colorful clothing brand to their humorous music videos to their silly company titles, BOOMTHO! brings a fresh new meaning to West Coast lifestyle brands. More than a brand, the BOOMTHO! Movement thrives on bringing the lighter side of, well, everything to the surface. This is quite evident in their creative approach to brand marketing via cleverly crafted online videos showcased on their YouTube channel: Inspiration for their newest online video is based on the current urban hype of "twerking" which features an original rap by BOOMTHO! co-owners Rod Benson and John Fieweger entitled “We Be Twerkin”. Twerking is a dance move where a person shakes their upper and lower hips in an up and down bouncing motion that has taken the music industry by storm. For instance, Miley Cyrus recently twerked in her new hit “We Can't Stop” and rapper Juicy J recently announced his $50k college scholarship competition to the girl who can twerk the best. BOOMTHO!'s online video provides an innovative forum for the brand to get both creative and dynamic with their content.

“Utilizing videos online provides us with a unique creative display format for driving brand awareness specifically showcasing our new pieces for each season,” explains Fieweger, BOOMTHO!’s National Director of Swag and Hype. The brands personality is what makes it uniquely distinct. Benson, BOOMTHO! Founder and professional Basketball player states, “We’re witty, we’re colorful, extroverted and definitely not afraid of a good time. I think all of that comes together to produce a line that always turns heads.” Perfect for those who are the life of the party or for those who strive to be the life of the party, BOOMTHO!’s collection marries skate, street, swim, and swag.

In 2006, while attending UC Berkely, Benson coined the catchphrase BOOMTHO!, which means “an occurrence of an uncommonly good thing”. He devoted the BOOMTHO! Movement to the philosophy of having a good time and being yourself by designing each piece in the collection to epitomize West Coast culture using bright colors and fun styles. One of BOOMTHO!'s newest tees featured in their new rap video proclaims “I SIT AT THE COOL TABLE". At an affordable $28.00, the BOOMTHO! team explains that “This (tee) is for those who know who they are, what we are, and just how awesome the combination can be. Rub it in their faces. You're cooler than they are.” Also debuted for the first time in their new video alongside catchy tees and lively snapbacks, BOOMTHO! has released colorful sunglasses sold at an affordable $100 in collaboration with Dick Cottons Sunglasses, a company well-known for worn by celebrities, athletes, and musicians.

BOOMTHO! is the California based lifestyle brand founded by Benson in 2006. It’s devoted to the philosophy of having fun, being ridiculous, and being yourself with bright, fun styles that epitomize West Coast culture. Boom Tho by definition, means “an occurrence of an uncommonly good thing”. The phrase was started by Benson (founder & CEO) while attending UC Berkley. In addition to being a catchphrase, BOOMTHO! grew from a blog and t-shirt line to a full men and women’s clothing line featuring t-shirts, tank tops, hats, swim gear, and sweatshirts.
