Porsche has undertaken a special social media campaign titled ‘5 million reasons to celebrate!’, with the company wanting to show its appreciation to its loyal fans.
After its Facebook page reached five million ‘likes’, Porsche is offering a fan the chance to win a drive in the one-off 911 model at the Porsche Experience Centre in Silverstone.
Part of the company’s 50th anniversary celebrations involved social media users voting for their ideal specification of the special model. After receiving countless ideas, Porsche worked with its custom-tailoring and personalisation department to produce the one-off 911 Carrera 4S.
The unique model was painted in an ‘Aqua Blue’ metallic colour and has been fitted with 20-inch Carrera S wheels – in a special white finish.
Porsche’s one-off 911 Carrera 4S also feature the marque’s Aerokit Cup package, which includes an additional front spoiler lip and a new rear engine cover with fixed spoiler.
In addition, a Powerkit has been fitted to the 3.8-litre powerplant within the model, which boosts the power output from 400bhp to 430bhp. This enables the model to record a 0-62mph time of just four seconds.
The model also features numerous specially-designed graphic motifs throughout, dedicated to the ‘5 million Porsche fans’.
After creating the one-off model, the German car manufacturer is offering the chance for a fan to take the wheel of this special-edition 911. Nine runners-up will also receive a scale model of the one-off vehicle.
