Greenville/Spartanburg SC (PRWEB) August 26, 2013 -- Should an unauthorized guardian or “Gopher” take the child during pick up, the KidGopher Endangered Child Notification will be sent to both the local and state authorities within minutes of the abduction.
When the school faculty issues an Endangered Child Notification they are able to access records of the date, time and guardian of each child pick-up. As well as the Gopher profile of all previously approved guardians attached to the child's record. Included in the profiles are photo identification, a vehicle description as well as driver's license numbers and license plate numbers. The school is also able to access the student's information and enter in a description of what the child looked like and what the child was wearing that day. The KidGopher software will then electronically submit a notification to the local and state authorities.
Should the Endangered Child Notification escalate to an Amber Alert, State Law Enforcement can send all the necessary information about the child and abductor to the Department of Transportation and the media, saving precious minutes from having to prepare a media release.
KidGopher also has the ability to quickly and easily deactivate a parent from pick-up during custody battles or domestic disputes. The benefit of the Endangered Child Notification is that precautions are already in place if the child goes missing, allowing local law enforcement to quickly examine the situation once the notification is sent.
The State Law Enforcement Division has been incredibly supportive in the development of KidGopher. Having this preventable tool in place will block strangers from having access to the children during child pick-up, and hopefully stop any reports of missing children from school or day care facilities.
“It has been an honor and privilege to develop KidGopher with our team of programmers as well as State Law Enforcement Officials, the Amber Alert Coalition and the Natioinal Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Our goal was to create a safe and efficient pick-up time at the end of the school day. Pick-up time is scary for school administrators. Having a system, like KidGopher, relieves the stress for educators at the end of the day by not having to remember the face of each individual parent. The security of the children is our primary focus for this product. Our goal is to see the daily number of missing and exploited children decrease,” says Neil Willis, CEO of Avionex LLC
