Harriet Langford is Elected to Georgia Conservancy Board
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) August 29, 2013 -- Harriet Langford, Foundation Trustee for the Ray C. Anderson Foundation, and daughter of the late Ray C. Anderson, has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Conservancy, an Atlanta based organization that directs its efforts toward environmental stewardship in Georgia.
The Georgia Conservancy works to conserve Georgia’s land and water. The Conservancy coordinates throughout the state with private industry, communities, and government to make sure Georgia is a place where people and the environment can thrive.
Harriet follows in her Father’s footsteps in support of the Georgia Conservancy. Ray served on the Conservancy’s Board for years, including a period as Board Chair.
Brian Foster, communications director for the Conservancy, noted, “With her business background, civic leadership, and vision of the Ray C. Anderson Foundation, we feel Harriet will offer a strong contribution to the Conservancy through her ideas and enthusiasm. In addition, as a resident of LaGrange, she represents an area of the state important to Georgia and our downstream communities.”
