Double H Ranch Gets $14,000 from the CDPHP Workforce Team Challenge
Albany, NY (PRWEB) August 26, 2013 -- Smiles. Laughter. Joy. That is what Double H Ranch brings to children and families dealing with life-threatening illnesses. That mission received a boost today, when race organizers from the CDPHP® Workforce Team Challenge presented a check for $13,976 to the organization.
Double H Ranch was one of two local not-for-profits selected as a “charity of choice” to benefit from monies raised from the CDPHP Workforce Team Challenge, the largest annual road race between NYC and Utica. Capital District Community Gardens also benefitted from the race. The event is organized by, and serves as a major fundraiser for, the Hudson Mohawk Road Runners Club (HMRRC), one of the largest running clubs in the nation.
“Double H Ranch gives children with life-threatening illnesses the opportunity to be kids again in a medically sound, loving, and fun environment,” said Dr. John D. Bennett, president & CEO, CDPHP. “We thank the Hudson Mohawk Road Runners Club for choosing such a worthy organization to benefit from the CDPHP Workforce Team Challenge.”
“HMRRC is pleased to partner with CDPHP in support of local charities such as Double H Ranch through the CDPHP Workforce Team Challenge,” said Race Director Mark Warner of HMRRC. “This is a great opportunity for HMRRC to provide support to seriously ill or disabled children in a healthy setting.”
“The Double H Ranch is proud to share a special relationship with CDPHP and the Hudson Mohawk Road Runners Club. We applaud all those who participated in the CDPHP Workforce Team Challenge, which directly supports our amazing kids,” said Max Yurenda, executive director & CEO, Double H Ranch.
