UK Proxy Server List Frees Mobiles from WiFi Filter Blocks
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) August 28, 2013 -- idcloak Technologies Inc. introduces a fresh batch of British IP proxies to its UK Proxy Server list. The addition will add renewed support to cope with the growing demand for free mobile-based unblocking services in the UK. Users of restricted WiFi networks, such as in offices or universities, may circumvent blocks and access the content they choose.
“Filters guarding WiFi networks block sites like webmail and Facebook which are occasionally needed for important personal communication,” says idcloak’s senior internet researcher, Robin Welles. “Instead of seeking special dispensation from the network administrators, or operating through a slow and expensive data connection, the user can now access the site through local WiFi with ease.”
IP proxies are public-access servers which act as remote nodes through which the internet can be reached. Users of mobile devices, including tablets, may import a proxy into their settings and from then on access the server, and the net beyond, without need for further action.
Some of the proxies listed operate HTTPS security. This setting is crucial if the user wishes to conceal their activity from the local network they are using, “Some users of shared internet connections need to search or browse with their privacy intact. An HTTPS proxy ensures none of their activity remains on internet logs or is picked up by traffic sniffers. All requested and received HTTP packets are encrypted.”
Welles explains how users of different devices may connect to the UK proxy, “Android users are best off using Opera Mobile Classic – it is the easiest mobile browser to configure for proxy use; we explain the procedure in our Proxy FAQs page. iOS users will need to access the proxy settings in their WiFi menus.”
In situations where a user cannot reconfigure a device’s settings due to restrictions on the device itself, Welles recommends the idcloak free UK Web Proxy. This service gives the user access to a proxy operating from a web page, much like a search engine. The user must select a UK server from the ‘More Options’ menu to connect to a British proxy.
