iCAT Solutions Partners with Restoration Technical Institute to Offer Training, Certification Courses
Markham, Ontario (PRWEB) August 27, 2013 -- The Restoration Technical Institute will become the first dedicated training school for iCAT software.
The school, based in Reading, Penn., will offer both basic and advanced training and certification courses in iCAT's software. iCAT provides a number of solutions that have completely transformed the contents restoration industry, quickly becoming a favorite of contractors across North America. With the partnership, the Restoration Technical Institute will train students on the software and its wide range of applications in the field.
"We are very pleased to partner with the Restoration Technical Institute to offer these training opportunities to contractors and other contents restoration professionals," said Riaz Walji, director of iCAT Solutions, Inc. "This will allow more contractors to take advantage of our solution, creating greater efficiencies for their businesses. It's a win-win for everyone involved."
The Restoration Technical Institute reached out to the software firm after a construction company with which the school works shared with staff the numerous benefits of iCAT. Walji recently visited the institute to train and certify a number of its team members as Master Trainers, giving them the ability to, in turn, certify contractors in the use of iCAT software. This includes the innovative Fast Packout mobile app.
iCAT provides the contents restoration industry with the tools it needs to drastically reduce the time contractors need to spend onsite, which in turn helps them increase the number of jobs they can take. The software uses the power of the cloud and mobile technology to allow contractors to immediately identify and catalog contents, without having to fill out separate form for each item or rely on servers to store data.
"The old way of doing contents restoration -- particularly the packout process -- is long gone," said Walji. "With iCAT and the Fast Packout app, we've severely reduced or completely eliminated the biggest headaches involved in logging contents and packing out a job site. It's time that the next generation of contractors realized the true benefits of what iCAT delivers -- and just what it means for the future of this industry."
The Restoration Technical Institute is a training center offering Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) and continuing education courses for professionals within the contents restoration field. The school recently opened its new state-of-the-art campus, which includes a new training space and expo center. Berks Fire Water Restorations, the company that launched the institute, now uses iCAT software for its pack-out and inventory control needs.
