PlayCore Presents Best Practice Sessions at FRPA 2013 Annual Conference
Chattanooga, TN (PRWEB) August 26, 2013 -- PlayCore, a leading designer, manufacturer, and marketer of a broad range of play and recreation products, along with its brands, Tot Turf & GameTime, will exhibit at Florida Recreation and Park Association’s (FRPA) 2013 Annual Conference and Exhibit Show August 26 - 29, in Orlando.
Conference speaker, Jennie Sumrell, Director of Programs and Partnerships, has worked with children and families of all abilities for nearly ten years. Her formal training and experience in early childhood education, exceptional learning, special education, and assistive technology allows her to have a meaningful influence on program and product development. On Tuesday, August 27, Jennie will speak in sessions at 1:00 p.m and 3:30 p.m. on the subjects of inclusion and play research.
The first session, “ME2: Building Inclusive Communities Through Play” will explore best practices for designing inclusive outdoor play environments that move beyond accessibility, addressing the needs of the whole child, and promoting meaningful play experiences between people of all ages and abilities. The second session, “Words on Play: Marking Play A Priority” will review the multi-faceted play research in the book Words on Play, a unique treatise by leading play scholars, researchers, advocates, and experts in the field of play. Research-based play topics will be highlighted to further inspire and empower communities to advocate for play and recreation in order to create a healthier, happier society.
